We provide a variety of courses to cover your needs.
***Course Introduction***
⭐ Classic ceramics experience class: $99 (1.5hrs)
This is a 1.5-hour course that does not require any experience in billowing. During the course, you will experience the entire process of billowing. The optional shapes are cups, bowls, plates, and vases. The time is flexible and we have multiple times to choose from, which is suitable for people who are busy at work but want to take some time out to make a thoughtful little gift for themselves and their loved ones.
🔸In the course, you will get a piece of clay and use it with the electric tumbler to make a relatively regular round vessel. The teacher will demonstrate step by step and provide relevant help when you need it.
🔸This course is suitable for people aged 12 and above, but those under 16 years old need to be accompanied by an adult to participate in this course together.
NOTE: This course fee includes 1 finished product, which is colored using underglaze pigments (note that it is not color glaze). If you need color glaze, you need to participate in the short-term course on billowing (for details, see the short-term course introduction). You cannot take it away on the day because the work needs time to be completely dry before it can be fired. The cycle is 2-3 weeks. We will notify you to pick it up after it is fired. If it is not picked up for more than a month, we will donate the work to the community. . If more time is needed to complete your work, we will charge $15 per 30 minutes, and any short time will be calculated as 30 minutes.
⭐ Short-term course on billowing ($235/person)
(Use rotary machine)
(2 works, 2 hours*3 classes)
(Including mud, glaze and firing costs)
🔸The short course of billowing is divided into three times. You will participate in billowing class, billet repairing class and glazing class. This means you will come back two more times to complete the piece.
🔸The minimum interval between the first class and the second class is 2 days, but please complete the second class within two weeks. After more than two weeks, the work will be too dry and it will be easier to repair the work. After the second course is completed, it will take a week to wait for the work to be completely dry and then fired again before the third course can be taken, but please complete it within a month.
🔸The first class is a drawing class – using an electric wheel machine to make relatively regular round utensils, such as hand cups, bowls, cans, sake bottles and small vases, etc.
The second class is a trimming class – using an electric rotary machine, place the semi-dry work upside down on the machine, use a trimming tool to trim off the excess mud on the bottom and sides, and trim the foot circle.
The third class is a glazing class – you can choose your favorite colors from 50 glaze colors and mix them in any combination. You can create gradient effects or rainbow colors. You can also write names or draw pictures on the works for personalized creation.
🔸The work needs to be fired again after glazing, and the finished product can be obtained in 1-2 weeks. We will notify you to pick it up after it is burned. If it is not picked up within one month, we will donate the work to the community.
